First and foremost…this is a budget flash cart. It won’t cover every use case under the sun (it especially doesn’t support solar lol), but it should be sufficient for everything else. Their rtc emulation method leaves a little more to be desired (in lieu of a real rtc), as you have to manually adjust the time yourself. Despite saves being written to battery backed sram, it’s fairly trivial enough to dump that sram save to sd card afterwards, requiring one extra step (either after reboot or through the in game menu if the game supports it). Compatibility wise i haven’t tasted every game, but i’ve tested some games that were marked as incompatible with supercard (such as circle of the moon) and that seemed to work flawlessly on this one, which is promising. Overall, if you’re on a budget and don’t care for an rtc heavy game/pokemon/games with sensors, this is a great choice. If you need a proper rtc implementation at minimum, i’d look elsewhere.

So far, the best option to run the super fw. It comes already flashed with version 0.18 there is already version 0.19(at the time of this review). You can flash it following the instructions on the super fw website. This is the best replace of the supercardsd. Better and faster.

Very good cartridge! Since this GBA/GBA SP/DS Lite cartridge comes without a microSD card and ROMs, I have a DS 4300 in 1 flashcart and what I did was the following: I copied the GBA ROMs from the DS flashcart and put them in a folder on my PC, and then just transferred them to a microSD card that I have as a backup for this new GBA cartridge! I hope I helped! SuperFW is working perfectly in version 0.18 👌🏻.

This is an awesome cart for gba gb and gbc games. feels and looks like an original cart, pop an sd card in with folders of the games you have and you’re set. updating from the superfw website is a breeze and adds a lot of great features. playing games on original hardware feels amazing and also adds in save states and lets you write the games to the ram for better compatibility.

I was sent a cartridge with faulty sdram which is required to boot roms. they claimed to replace the cartridge while persistently asking me to cancel my dispute as they show me a mere shipping label… this seller cannot be trusted and my satisfaction and respect for aliexpress as a platform is coming to a close. this is the 2nd time a store on aliexpress sells me a faulty cartridge. i was ready to buy 5 more cartridges, unforunately, i find another seller who does not give a firm handshake.

It works great got superfw in the flash so it auto sets up your sd just have to add your own roms. it does not recognize.zip so make sure you unzip your roms before copying. easily upgradable to superfw chis version .20 if you want it came with v.18 on it. only issue i’ve come across is certain games need the 128k save or it will give the cannot work on this hardware error. just patch your rom on pc to fix it.

Updated to superfw 0.20 with no issues, using the gba sp. seems to work fine, was stuttering at the first corner of mksc, but write the game to flash and boot from there, no problems at all. haven’t tried the rtc function, not interested in pokémon games. also worked perfectly over a link cable with a bootleg mksc cart from 15 years ago, all good.

I had a super card and many games were not running well. Like mario and luigi superstar saga or mother 3. I just swap my sd in this one, re patched the game and it runs just fine now! Some little slow downs when they are a lot of elements (mother 3 forest on fire) but it gets better after a couple of sec. All in all its a great update for this price!

This is an excellent flash cart for the price.
Running games off sdram works but often yields slowdown, but this cart has an internal nor flash that i can write games too. Games written to this flash should have no slowdown in most cases.
I tested this on my ags-001 sp and my game boy player and it worked fine on both.
Saving also worked perfectly on the latest firmware, eeprom and flash games utilize superfw’s directsaving to write the save directly to the cart. For sram games, the cart’s sram is used, when the system is rebooted the save in sram will be written to the sd card.
You’re probably going to want to upgrade to superfw 0.20. It includes a few fixes that aren’t present in the version shipped with the cartridge, which is 0.18.
It also comes with a few different labels that you can put on the cartridge.

Works great, i just needed to flash to the newest version of the firmware 0.19. Came loaded with 0.18. Mario cart adavance still struggles, and i got metriod fushion to work by using the patch engine. Which i tried with supercard and white screen after cutsceen still. So definitely an improvement. Bought mine for my gameboy player (gamecube). But i also found out that pokémon gameboy advance video files work with the ds/ gba.

It’s the most basic flashcart you can buy that still has a decent feature set. I was unable to get it to read a 200gb sdxc card, but it may be due to formatting. An 8gb sdhc worked just fine. It’s not perfect, as it causes failures in the ags aging cartridge test and it doesn’t have a rtc or photo sensor, but it is good enough for the vast majority of the gba library. You can’t go wrong at this price .

The cartridge comes with the firmware preinstalled! As you can see in the pictures, it’s a pretty complete set for the price. I absolutely recommend this flashcard!
